"By way of further introduction, my husband, Bill and I moved to Naples from Virginia Beach in 1991. We have 3 daughters--Mary Catherine, 21, Sarah, 20 and Flannery who was born here in Naples 15 years ago!. Last fall we were excited to have my Dad, Cdr. Edward J. Shaughnessy, join us here in Naples, from Vienna, VA. He moved to Barrington Terrace in March--a week before I arrived. Having my Dad here is a true blessing for our family. His presence also gives me a unique perspective as both a loving daughter and a caring Executive Director. I have been in the senior living business for over 25 years, having earned my Master's degree in Gerontology from University of Southern California. I find that I'm happiest working in a community and continue to learn with each opportunity I'm given."
